Temporary Classrooms Built After 8/14/21 Quake

In the aftermath of the 8/14/21 quake, Haiti’s third largest city of Les Cayes was the most devastated in terms of human casualties and property damage. Haiti On The Rise responded to this crisis by helping St Michel School in the Charpentier neighborhood of Les Cayes build temporary classrooms. St Michel is both a primary & secondary institution with classes from Kindergarten through 12th Grade. Haiti On The Rise provided the means for St Michel to procure construction materials and rebuild the destroyed institution. In fact, local Haitian construction crews were so efficient that St Michel’s 750 students were able to resume the 2021-22 academic year by early Fall of 2021. St Michel School is grateful to Haiti On The Rise and its supporters like you to enable the institution to continue the education of its young students in this time of crisis.
