Jaqueline Oriscar Lee, MBA, MSFAIM
Founder & Executive Director

Jacqueline Oriscar Lee (Jackie) is originally from Haiti and has more than 20 years of experience in accounting, financial statement analysis and auditing, banking, management, and nonprofit organization. Early in her career, she worked for the Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince in education, administration, and pastoral. After receiving a BA in Business Administration/Accounting Sciences from Institut National d’Administration de Gestion et des Hautes Etudes Internationales (INAGHEI) in Port-au-Prince, Jackie worked for Garderes and Noailles, a public accounting firm. While there she conducted external audits of major institutions including: The Central Bank of Haiti, Socabank, Scotia Bank, Haiti Electric utility company, and Teleco. Always wanting to alleviate poverty, Jackie joined Fondasyon Kole Zepol (FONKOZE) which means “Shoulder-to-Shoulder”. She became the Acting Director and Business Manager at the largest micro-finance bank in Haiti and witnessed how the poor have worked with little to become financially sustainable.

In 2000 Jackie moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to further her education. She holds a MBA in Finance and a Master of Sciences in Financial Analysis and Investment Management (MSFAIM) from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga, California. She’s eager and passionate to help those she knows are in desperate needs and dedicated to the mission of advancing positive change for Haiti.

Randall Lee, CFA
Chief Financial Officer

Randall Lee has more than 25 years of experience working in the finance, investment, entrepreneurial, education, and non-profit sectors. He has worked as a consultant and analyst for major corporate employers such as Wells Fargo, Merrill Lynch, Hewlett Packard, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley. In addition, Randall has served as an adjunct professor of Finance & Marketing and as a teaching associate of Software Engineering & Computer Science in the California State University program . Randall has earned a Master of Software Engineering degree from CSU Fullerton, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Randall currently holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He is currently serving as a board member and Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer for Haiti On The Rise.

Father Paul Rossi
Director

Father Paul Rossi has been a priest of the Archdiocese of San Francisco since 1974. Throughout his lifelong service to the Church and his communities, Fr. Paul was a pastor for 24 years in 3 different parishes. In the education sector, he was also a campus minister at San Francisco State University and a high school teacher at Marin Catholic High School and Serra High School.  Having been a parochial vicar and a pastor, Fr Paul is now a retired priest.  He continues to be an active director and supporter of Haiti On The Rise.

Ema Joseph Labissiere
Director

Ema Joseph Labissiere has been an educator for 30 years. She has taught in several prestigious schools before she opened her own. She is passionate about education because she believes it is the only way someone can develop and experience a fulfilling future. Besides being an educator, Ema has also worked in broadcasting as the marketing director for Haitian National Radio.

Ema is an advocate for the less fortunate. While in Haiti, where she originally comes from, she has helped St. Vincent and the Little Brothers and Sisters with their missions to serve the disabled and the disadvantaged. Additionally, she has enabled many young Haitians to obtain scholarships and pursue their goals in higher education or professional studies. As Ema and her family are survivors of the 2010 earthquake, she is dedicated to helping the victims of natural catastrophes and to reconstructing the damaged areas of Haiti.

Advisory Board

Robert Munro

Robert Munro is a computational linguist working in communication technologies. This covers a broad area of technology and development, from crowdsourcing and machine-learning for extracting rich information from natural language to the installation of supporting infrastructures.

Robert has lived in many diverse environments, from Sierra Leone and the Amazon to London, Sydney and Silicon Valley. He has a PhD from Stanford University. When not working, he travels the hidden corners of the world by bicycle – most recently cycling across Alaska.

Robert recently started work as a Principal Product Manager for Machine Learning at Amazon Web Services (AWS), helping more than 1 million companies take advantage of sophisticated Deep Learning and Machine Learning technologies.

Emeritus Board

Doug Benbow

Doug Benbow has more than 30 years of experience in teaching, fundraising, non-profit board membership, volunteer training and management. He has managed all aspects of event planning, including fundraising, programming, and artistic direction. Doug has served as an administrator for a San Francisco non-profit that served homeless people by providing drop-in services, and programs in the arts, music, writing, and painting. He currently serves as the St. Mary Cathedral Director of Liturgy, Christian Initiation, the Cathedral Docent Program and Cathedral Special Events. He obtained a BA in Theology from the University of Dayton and did graduate Theology and Theater studies at the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. In 2011 Doug was recognized by Pope Benedict XVI and received the Benemerenti medal and diploma, for outstanding service to the church and community.

Molly Hartle, MA

Molly has more than 25 years as a writer, editor, and designer. She has worked as a senior proposal developer at Vituity (formerly CEP America), and as a copywriter at San Francisco-based 7×7 and California Home+Design magazines. Molly has also served as an adjunct faculty member for the Center for Writing, and Scholarship at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco. In addition, she holds a MA in Integrative Health Studies from CIIS and a BA in English / International Affairs with a minor in French from the University of New Hampshire.

Molly is a senior member of the Civil Air Patrol where she is working toward becoming a Character Development Specialist. She is also a member of the Marin Cursillo and the Mill Valley Chapter of Random Acts of Catholics. When not volunteering, she enjoys biking, dog walking, and travel.
