1st to Deliver Emergency Relief to 3 Communities

Working from Northern California, Haiti On The Rise Executive Director Jacqueline Oriscar Lee arranged for a large delivery truck to transport the first set of emergency relief packages to the isolated community of Sanai in L’Asile County. In fact, Haiti On The Rise was the first organization to deliver to this devastated area, which is located just a mere 11 miles from the quake’s epicenter. More than 125 families received emergency relief supplies, which would last up to two weeks, and temporary sheltering, which would protect survivors against incoming Tropical Storm Grace.

Shortly thereafter, Haiti On The Rise organized its second delivery to the nearby community of Gran Bertran (above). Similar to the first delivery in Sanai, the organization provided more than 125 relief packages, and was again the first organization to provide emergency aid there. Due to your special support, Haiti On The Rise also facilitated the building of a number of temporary shelters for the displaced in L’Asile.

As other communities heard of Haiti On The Rise’s relief efforts, Jackie received additional requests for assistance. After communicating with a civic leader in Chantale of Southwestern Haiti, Haiti On The Rise organized a third emergency package delivery there. Similar to the two previous deliveries, Haiti On The Rise provided around 100 emergency supply packs to needy families and again was the first relief organization to help that community. In the days after the devastating 8/14/21 earthquake, all of the emergency relief deliveries were made possible by our dutiful volunteers in Haiti and our giving supporters such as you.
