Walkathon In Killarney, Donor Match Available

The Dingle Walk Stars continued eastward along the Dingle Peninsula’s north shore and reached Killarney earlier this week.  The eight of them trekked a deeply enriching journey during their 12 days together.  They did their epic hike for a good cause – to help Haiti On The Rise gather funds so that a roof can be placed over the second floor of its new high school in Haiti.  As one says in Irish Gaelic, “Sláinte!” (pronounced Slahn-cha!) to our Dingle Walk Stars for their efforts during the walkathon to help Haiti On The Rise.  In the top-left image below, our Dingle Walk Stars are (L to R) Marilou M, Kitty O’D, Liliana N, Else T, Joe Suggs, Bridie & Tom B, and Larry M (not shown).  Many of them have been long-time supporters of Haiti On The Rise whom Jackie & Randall Lee met through Marin Cursillo.  Please enjoy the images of the Dingle Peninsula’s north shore and the area surrounding Killarney.

One of the main purposes of the Walkathon is to help Haiti On The Rise gather funds so that a roof can be placed atop the second floor of their new high school in Haiti (below).  Its first floor is already being used for academic purposes.  Completion of the second floor would aid the community greatly as the high school is the only institution of its academic level in its neighborhood.
