Haiti’s population has been struggling with its overburdened and undersupplied healthcare system for many years. The 2010 Earthquake and recent Hurricane Matthew have exacerbated the problems of the healthcare system in Haiti. Most of the local hospitals and health centers were destroyed during those two disasters. Furthermore, incidences of the cholera outbreak right after the earthquake only worsened the situation. Therefore, it is imperative to support the people of Haiti through our local partners to educate others on the practices of preventive medicine and personal hygiene.
